Patituce & Associates was founded by Joseph C. Patituce, a former prosecutor, who believed that his attorneys, staff, and employees should be treated fairly regardless of education or background: with the goal being the protection of his clients.

Attorney Eric Schillinger

Mr. Schillinger believes that every individual deserves outstanding representation in his or her legal matters and is dedicated to making sure an affordable option exists for people to obtain quality legal representation.

Before founding his practice, Mr. Schillinger gained trial experience working in the New York State Office of the Attorney General, as well as the Rensselaer County Public Defender’s Office. Mr. Schillinger also spent time as an associate in private law firms, working on a wide array of cases, including estate planning, corporate law, products liability, and personal injury. Drawing on this experience, Mr. Schillinger puts his knowledge to use to successfully resolve your matter in a creative and cost effective manner.

Mr. Schillinger is a graduate of Albany Law School and the State University of New York College at Geneseo. As a student at Albany Law, he served as the Managing Editor for Research and Writing on the Albany Government Law Review. He published the article, Overturning Shell Oil v. New York State Tax Commission: How the “Anti-Pass-Through Provision” Can Shift New York State Away from its Reliance on Oil for Transportation, which took a critical look at tax policy in New York State and how those policies affect fuel consumption.

Mr. Schillinger excelled in trial and appellate advocacy competitions as a student, gaining valuable practical skills he now uses to achieve the goals of his clients. While at Albany Law, Mr. Schillinger also worked as teaching fellow in courses involving criminal law, constitutional law, and torts. This experience honed Mr. Schillinger’s knowledge in these all important areas and has enabled his success in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury.

Mr. Schillinger is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, including sections on criminal defense, personal injury, and products liability, as well as the Albany County Bar Association.

Mr. Schillinger is also a former president of the Capital Bicycle Racing Club, in Albany, New York, and holds a Category 3 USA Cycling Racing License. He writes for the Times Union Bike Blog, typically examining legal issues surrounding bicycling on open roads. He has also been published in the regional sports monthly, Adirondack Sports and Fitness, on the topic of the rules of the road pertaining to bicycle use . When he isn’t practicing law or racing bikes, Mr. Schillinger enjoys skiing, and attempting to work on his vintage BMW. Mr. Schillinger is luckily a much better attorney than he is auto mechanic.

Joseph C. Patituce, Esq.

Managing Partner
Bar Admissions: State of Ohio, Commonwealth of Pennsylvannia
Federal Practice: Northern District of Ohio

Bar Groups: Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys

Joe Patituce is a former assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor who handled many important cases as a prosecutor ranging from crimes of violence such as murder, rape, assault, and domestic violence to drug and alcohol crimes such as DUI/OVI.

Mr. Patituce found, as a new prosecutor, that some defense attorneys tried to get rid of cases as quickly as possible in order to make the most money. This practice disturbed Mr. Patituce, and he constantly spoke out against this practice. When he eventually started his own practice, having left the Prosecutor’s Office, he dedicated his practice to focusing on the person rather than their finances. This is why in virtually every case Patituce & Associates will offer a flat rate so that the client does not have to worry about the bill being run up.

Clients have routinely spoke in favor of Mr. Patituce’s manner of handling cases: he stands by his Firm’s reputation, simply search for “reviews of attorney patituce” or “attorney patituce reviews” on any of the major search engines and you will see that this Firm has one of the best reputations out there. You are in good hands with Patituce & Associates. If you would like to speak with Mr. Patituce directly call (440) 471-7784.
